Unpack with care. When taking the clock out of the carton, hold the roof, not the carving. 1. Make sure, you have all the partsIn addition to the cuckoo clock and it's appropriate carvings, you should have a pendulum, and 2 weights (3 weights for clocks with music). | | | | Example 1 | Example 2 |
2. Open the back of the clockPut your finger through the hole extremely gently because the gong wire could get damaged.

3. Remove the paper from the gong wire
 4. Remove the clamps from the bellowsPull out the clamps gently.

5. Unlock the cuckoo door by turning the holding wireTurn the bolt out to the side in order to enable the door to open. Otherwise the cuckoo will not come out.
6. Hang the clock on the wall properlyPlease hang the clock exactaly leveled. Otherwise it will not run at the right speed. The nail carrying the clock should stick out of the wall about an inch and be strong enough to support the weight. | | | Wrong | Right |
7. Hang the clock at the proper heightDo not hang your cuckoo clock too close to the ground. Otherwise the weights will touch the floor and the clock will stop running. It should be at least 6 1/2 feet off the floor. 8. Remove the wire holding the chainesWhen removing the wire holding the chaines make sure the clock is hung up on the wall! Pull the wire gently to the side until it is completely removed.

9. Hook the pendulum on the pendulum wire At the bottom of your clock: attach the hock of the pendulum to the pendulum wire.

10. Adjust the pendulum speedIf the clock is running fast or slow, hold the pendulum, and move the leaf or shield, up or down on the stick. It takes patience to adjust to accuracy. Move it lower to make it slower, and up to make it faster.
